This camp sits inside a provincial forest park in Shenzhen's Bao'an district, ringed by trees, where the only sounds are birds and the horses. The facilities are new, the horses are calm and well trained, and the instructors are internationally certified.

If you've never sat on a horse, that's exactly who this is built for. You'll start in the arena, circling to get a feel for the horse's rhythm, before your instructor teaches you the reins, your posture and how to actually communicate with the animal. Someone stays beside you the entire time. Nobody gets left to figure it out alone.

Then you head out into the forest park itself. And because the light through the trees is genuinely beautiful, especially on a grey or drizzly day with the greenery behind you, a professional photographer comes along to shoot it.
