Dinner isn't really the point at Yantianxia Yanyue. The point is spending an evening at an imperial court 1,000 years ago. The show blends a palace-style banquet, holographic projection, and live Hanfu (traditional Han Chinese dress) performances in one of Shanghai's most distinctive dining experiences. You eat, watch, listen, and take in a story from start to finish.

The Setting

The circular hall is wrapped in a 360° 3D screen with holographic projection. The scenery shifts around you, from the grand palaces of the Tang Dynasty to the canals and water towns of Jiangnan. Vermilion carved railings and flowing silk drapes are paired with modern light and projection. The hall has 212 seats, and every one has a full view of the show.
